Google Graphics!

I always enjoy typing google into the search box and seeing that they've changed their logo for a certain occasion. I stumbled across this site that gave a few examples of past designs, which are designed by different artists.

Life: Post Graduate

"My Journey & Lessons from Graduation until NOW"

Victoria Monsul

How do we become what we are?

-Grew up in a creative atmosphere, so that's why she went to a design school. She wasn't interested in math or anything of that sort.
-Be Authentic. How can you be original? Be passionate with what you're doing, that distinguishes candidates. Be yourself. Maintaining integrity. Try not to get your ego in the way of things, be humble.
-Be selective. The traits of the people around you, rub off on you. "You are who you hang out with" Don't be in an environment where people are going to affect you in a bad way, be with people who inspire you. "pushing the envelope...create better ideas.
- Benefits of "my" degree. She's polish and greek.
-Gained confidence by being able to take criticism, not always hear something good, take action. Interested to see how people responded to her. You can be different people, experiment, a time and a place for everyone (something anna akbari talked about in her guest lecture).
-Advice for interviewing: She showed up very REAL, very raw, even if you're not perfect, that means more room for improvement, which is good for an employer.
-Creative exploration is very beneficial. Worked a lot in super 8 film, weird chemical experiments, newsletters...share these ideas, started a radio station...community, experimentation. Explore. Try out different things, make mistakes.
-At the end of the day, when you do finish school, it benefits, but once you have your interview, it's an "organic" process.
-Your first impression of people is very quick. When you walk into a room, people judge you based off appearance at first hand...it's in out human nature.
-Constantly re-invent yourself. LIVE YOUR LIFE. Push boundaries
-Don't get arrested, but "see the red and blue lights and then hit the road"
-Personal and professional, is based off connections....a relationship
-Meet people you don't know. Be proactive.
-Politics exist everywhere
-Very important to know how to fail.
-Your thoughts can become creations. Rid yourself of negativity. Rid yourself of pessimism
"If you're not failing everyday, you're not setting your goals high enough"

"You will get a job offer on how you view yourself"

Position yourself on how you want to be

-Takes time to get to where you're going
-Stay proactive with different people.
-BE PERSISTENT

"90% of life is showing up" -Woody Allen

Don't things personally. If you want to be good at your craft, you have to accept criticism.
